Which Zoho Inventory reports help with purchasing?

For purchasing in Zoho Inventory, start with Inventory Summary, which shows each item's reorder level, stock on hand, committed stock, available for sale and quantity ordered. Add Sales by Item for demand, Purchase Order Details and Receive History for what is on order, and Inventory Aging Summary and Inventory Turnover By Quantity to spot slow stock.

Which report shows what to reorder?

Inventory Summary (Reports, Inventory) is the closest thing to a reorder report. Its columns are item name, SKU, reorder level, quantity ordered, quantity in, quantity out, stock on hand, committed stock, available for sale, in-transit and usage unit.

Compare available for sale plus quantity ordered with the reorder level. If the total is at or below the reorder level, the item needs ordering. Committed Stock Details lists the confirmed sales orders behind the committed number, so you can see which customers are waiting.

Which reports show demand?

  • Sales by Item (Reports, Sales): item name, SKU, quantity sold, amount and average price for a date range, from invoices and credit notes.
  • Order Fulfillment By Item: how each item is progressing across sales orders, from packed to invoiced, with warehouse availability.
  • Sales Return History: returns in the period, useful when returns distort what really sold.

Which reports show what is on order?

  • Purchase Order Details: purchase orders for a period with status, delivery date, vendor name and total.
  • Receive History: every purchase receive and its details.
  • Purchases by Item: quantity purchased, amount and average price by item, which shows what you have really been paying.
  • Purchase Order by Vendor: each vendor's purchase transactions for a period.

Which reports show overstock and slow movers?

  • Inventory Aging Summary: how long you have held each item, in aging intervals you set, with the value in each.
  • Inventory Turnover By Quantity: opening and closing stock, quantity sold, turnover ratio and average turnover days per item.
  • Stock Movement: every inward and outward movement of each item in a period, for tracing an odd stock figure.

Items with a high average turnover days and value sitting in the oldest aging bucket are the first to stop reordering.

How do you export or schedule a report?

  1. Go to Reports and open the report.
  2. Set the date range and click Run Report.
  3. Click Export As in the top right and choose PDF, CSV, XLS or XLSX, or Export to Zoho Sheet.

To get a report by email, click Schedule Report, choose weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly, the time, file format and recipients, and save. A weekly Inventory Summary before your ordering day is a simple habit.
